The Taber abrasers are
an international industrial standard used in the wear and durability
testing of ceramics, plastics, textiles, metals, leather, rubber,
flooring, and painted, lacquered and electro-plated surfaces. Invented
in the 1930's and modernized throughout the years, this instrument
answer to your wear testing problems.

Taber Traditional Abrasers |
 |
Principle: the sample to be tested is positioned on a rotating
turntable and subjected to the wearing action of 2 abrasive wheels
applied at a specific pressure. The traditional Taber abrasion
testers are available in 2 models: with a single sample table
(ref. 5131) and with a dual sample table (ref. 5151).
With a compact and robust design, these instruments have of a
sensitive keyboard and a digital display allowing to visualize
the number of revolutions carried out by the sample.
|
The principle is flexible thanks to many accessories:
Types of abraser wheels,
specimen holders or specimen mounting cards. |

The Taber range enriched by many complementary equipment
in order to facilitate the tests, to adapt the instrument
to the various needs and to improve the performances and

New linear Taber abraser |
|
The new linear Taber abraser ref 5700 finally makes it possible
to test the resistance of finished products of any form and
any size: plans, concave or convex. It uses the horizontal displacement
of a free sensor to vertically move in order to follow the shape
of each product.
The abrasive tools " wearaser " are consisted of same
abrasive materials as the traditional abrasers: CS-10, CS-17,
CS-10F, H18, H22.
Variable horizontal displacement: 1,25 cm / 2,5 cm / 5 cm /
7,5 cm / 10 cm
Frequency: 2 / 15 / 25 / 40 / 60 cycles / minute
Variable load: 350 G to 1600 G per increment of 250 G
In option, the system can be equipped with a tool making it
possible to carry out tests of scratch resistance
and/or to carry out the crock
test .
