CORROSION and WEATHERING

ASCOTT Salt Spray Cabinets

  • Enable accelerated corrosion tests to be performed using a salt spray.
  • Central spray nozzle and wide choice of capacities: from 100 litres to 2000 litres.
  • Tests can be continuous or cyclic.

Accelerated Weathering Tester- QUV Cabinets

These are used to evaluate the ability of materials to withstand the effects of light and humidity, both inside and outside.
They incorporate ultraviolet fluorescent lamps to simulate the effect of sunlight and reproduce rain and dew conditions through condensation of the moist atmosphere.

The optional Solar Eye system provides a very accurate control of the radiation (W/mē/nm).

QTRAC solar concentrator

The QTRAC is used outside to accelerate the ageing process. A set of mirrors reflects and concentrates the rays of the sun on to the test pieces, which speeds up testing considerably. The system follows the sun's motion to obtain the maximum illumination. Meets standard test requirements including Emaqua car tests.

Cyclic Corrosion Tester Qfog

Cabinet for performing cyclic corrosion tests, conforming to over 50 international standards. By alternating the various phases of humidity, condensation, salt spray, dryness and rest, a much improved correlation with outside tests can be achieved.

XENON Test Chambers

Produced in two sizes to offer users the best price/capacity relationship to suit their needs.

The Q-SUN Xenon cabinet reproduces the complete solar spectrum artificially, speeding up the deterioration process by simulating the sun's rays and inclement weather conditions. The conditions in each test can be controlled to a great degree of accuracy.

Outdoor exposure by QLAB

In association with the QLAB division of QPANEL Lab Products, Labomat Essor can offer outdoor test programmes to study the effects of ageing at standardised sites in Florida and Arizona. Send us your samples and we will do the rest.
